What is the content of the course of studies?
The part-time course in health sciences of the university is a scientific course. It includes a basic biomedical, scientific-methodical and health system-related training. Based on this, students apply methods of evidence-based medicine/evidence-based health sciences to selected fields of action. The objective is the acquisition of methodological skills for independent and critical development and application of scientific primary and secondary sources.
Where can I find employment later on?
Graduates work in different types of schools – for instance, traditional vocational schools, technical schools, vocational schools, further vocational schools, etc., i.e. the whole breadth of regulated vocational training. You can also work in nursing schools for the elderly. All subjects can be taught with health-scientific context.

The subject areas arise from the variety of training courses. Graduates of the course in Hamburg are currently trained in the healthcare professions of medical assistant, dental assistant, paraveterinary specialist, geriatric nurse, nursing assistant, dental technicians.
