What is the content of the course of studies?
The course includes the health science fields of activity as a broad basis for later specialisation in professional practice or in the master’s course. The contents are health promotion, prevention, epidemiology, ergonomics, health economics and policy, as well as medical, social science and economic fundamentals. Students learn in seminar lessons, in specialist projects, laboratory studies and seminars with an extensive elective area.

The hands-on professional qualification degree course provides science-based qualification for independent planning and execution of surveys and analysis and interpretation of health-related information and data, development, implementation and evaluation of measures to change behaviour and structural conditions for better health in individuals, groups and populations, participation in projects and in the management of organisations and companies in health economics and health policy.

Typical professional fields of activity are health and safety at work, environmental and consumer protection, occupational and community health promotion, health monitoring and epidemiology, research and training for companies, government agencies, insurance companies, professional associations, associations and institutions, as well as activities in health policy.
What are the entry requirements?
- General higher education entrance qualification, advanced technical college certificate or completed training and three years of professional activity.
