As an academically qualified and practice-experienced nursing professional, the job opportunities and career prospects after graduation are diverse. Graduates stand for theory-guided nursing practice and can, for example, assume responsibility as managers or nursing experts in direct or indirect patient care. In the management of multidisciplinary teams in health and social institutions, graduates independently control and coordinate highly complex processes in the outpatient and inpatient care of patients.

What are the entry requirements?

  • General higher education entrance qualification
  • Advanced technical college entrance qualification
  • or equivalent university entrance qualification according to § 37 HmbHG
  • Special admission for employed persons according to § 38 HmbHG via entrance examination according to the entrance examination regulations of the University of Applied Sciences and interview and
  • completed vocational training as a qualified nurse, health care and nursing assistant or health care and paediatric nurse as well as geriatric nurse and
  • At least two years of professional experience until admission to the Bachelor’s examination
